“The Holy Hearts Campus Resonated with the Rhythms of Kuchipudi Dance”
On 29th August 2025, a mesmerizing Kuchipudi dance performance was organized at Holy Hearts Kabir Nagar under the banner of SPICMACAY.
The renowned Kuchipudi dancer of the present generation, Ms. T. Reddy Lakshmi, graced the school along with three accompanying artists – Mr. K. Jayanth, Mr. Vignesh Jayaraman, and Ms. Soumya Kannan. SPICMACAY is a movement that promotes the rich cultural heritage of India, and in this series, the school was privileged to host such a classical dance introduction.
The program commenced with a Devi Aradhana dance, followed by the presentation of the tale of “Gajendra Moksha” through various mudras and the traditional Thali dance.
An ICCR empaneled artist, and recipient of prestigious honors such as the Sangeet Natak Akademi Yuva Award, the Indira Exhibition Award, along with several other accolades, Ms. T. Reddy Lakshmi has showcased her art across different countries. Her captivating performance left the audience spellbound.
She also interacted with the students, answering their questions related to dance and thereby enhancing their awareness and appreciation of this classical art form.
